2 Chronicles 5:13-14 (New International Version
13 The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang:
“He is good;
his love endures forever.”
Then the temple of the LORD was filled with the cloud, 14 and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the temple of God
Isaiah 6:1-4
1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another:
“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”
4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.
Job 38:7
while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?
What do you think? How will you respond to Glory? Will you fall to your knees in eternal gratitude for being allowed to enter in by the shed blood of Jesus? How will you feel? Will you be overcome with emotion when you think of how far He brought you? What will it be like? Will the atmosphere be charged with the Glory of the Eternal, Almighty, Lord of Lords and King of Kings, so vibrant and so alive that you can feel it in your bones? What do the angels look like? And the creatures surrounding the Throne, shouting, ‘Holy, Holy, Holy’, how magnificent, how (for lack of a better word) fearsome or ferocious might they seem? Will you even be able to breathe? How long will you be able to look upon He who sits on the Throne of Heaven before you have to avert your gaze because of the shear brilliance of His Glory? Every knee will bow. Will that be reflexive, based on all of the dynamism on display? Will it be voluntary on your part because you know, finally know that you know that you know. Every tongue will confess. What will you utter? How will it sound? Will you even be able to hear yourself speak? Will you shout? If you shout, will it be to hear yourself over the cacophony of praise and adulation that is constantly, constantly going forth? How loud is Heaven? What does Peace sound like when it’s perfect? Did you know that the stars will sing? How will that sound? What about the rocks praising Him? Will you be able to keep up?
Beloved, everything we do here is but dress rehearsal for what we will do there. However you do that, whatever you do when you get your praise on, do it with all your heart, all your soul and all your understanding. Love hard. Serve hard. Praise hard! Give from a very deep place. When it’s my time to stand before Him, I don’t want to have a lot of catching up to do. What about you?
Blessings…
